Hollow Steel Plungers
SST Plungers - The SST series is
optimal for wells that have drifted and broached tubing,
while travel to surface time is excellent due to the
buoyancy of the plunger.
The SST Hollow Steel plunger is made from a single piece
of 4140 machined tool steel with the center core bored
out.
The core is bored from the bottom of the plunger, reducing
the weight of the plunger without compromising its durability.
In addition, the SST Hollow Steel plunger has a reinforced
fishing head to prevent damage under severe well conditions.
Note: Wells with tubing defects or other
irregularities will not allow the Hollow Steel plunger
to travel to the bottom of the well.
